METHOD 1 - Laptop/Computer

In case you want to watch the available series on your television using your laptop/computer, you first need to identify the type of outputs available on your laptop/computer and the type of input provided by your television, so that you can use a suitable cable and follow the relevant procedure for their connection.

You can only use this method to connect your laptop/computer to your television as long as your television and laptop/computer provide one of the following ports:

HDMI: The HDMI port is the most common input/output available on contemporary televisions and laptops. This connection is highly recommended and straightforward, as it only requires an HDMI cable (male to male). An HTMI cable is used for both image and sound transmission.

DVI-VGA: Older television and laptop models usually feature one (or both) of these ports for image transmission. To connect your television using one of these ports, you need the appropriate cable (male to male) as well as a cable for the transmission of the sound (see step 2).

Step 2: Connection

For the transmission of image, please use one of the cables selected during step 1.

In case you are using an HDMI cable, you can connect the cable to your television or laptop/computer at any time. If you are using a VGA or DVI port, then both devices must be switched off before connecting the cable.

Sound

As long as you are using an HDM cable to connect your television to your laptop/computer, you do not need an extra cable for sound transmission.

If the connection is made through a VGA or DVI port, then you need an extra cable for sound transmission. The most common cable used in this case is a jack to RCA cable:

Connect the jack cable plug to the HEADPHONE output (green port) of your laptop/computer:

and the RCA plugs to the AUDIO IN connectors of your television (the right channel (R) is usually marked in red and the left channel (L) is usually marked in white):

Step 3: Television adjustments

Select the input which you have used on your television using your remote control (indicated as ‘input’ or ‘source’).

Step 4: Computer adjustments

If the image appears on your television automatically following the step above, you do not need to make any more adjustments to your laptop/computer. If not, please make the following adjustments, depending on the operating system of your laptop/computer:

Windows: Press Win (ÿ) + P and select "Duplicate" or "Second screen only". As long as you have followed the above steps correctly, the image from your laptop/computer will appear on your television screen.

Mac: Go to Apple menu and select "System Preferences". Select "Display" and then "Arrangement". Finally, tick the box "Mirror Displays". As long as you have followed the above steps correctly, the image from your laptop/computer will appear on your television screen.

Sound

Sound is usually adjusted automatically and you do not need to make any more adjustments. If not, please make the following adjustments, depending on the operating system of your laptop/computer:

Windows: Right click on the sound icon at the right part of the taskbar and select “Playback devices”. Then select the television from the list of available devices and click “Set default”.

Mac: Go to Apple menu and select "System Preferences". Select "Sound" and then "Output". Choose the output you have used for the connection of your laptop/computer to your television from the available options.
